Founded by fine art photographer, Diane Epstein, the mission of the Artist Salon is to encourage a genuine connection between artists, interior/ Biophilic designers, researchers, LEED architects, professors and curators – a connection that stimulates ideas, brings people together to integrate their work, and broaden access to the creative, collaborative process. The Artist Salon community encourages each other to to build research and implementation of art in the Biophilic field, develop stronger portfolios, get published, do exhibitions, and create other artistic opportunities. These collaborations are multidisciplinary and include artists, writers, poets, and musicians, as well as designers, art critics, curators, art collectors, and institutions that support the arts, to encourage openness, experimentation and inventiveness. With new works developed the aim is to enhance moods, uplift spirits, and improve the well-being for those who live, work, or visit the building where the art is placed.  The intention is to bring celebration of culture, spirit and place; and meaningful integration of art for health and wellness into the public sphere.
